NHUDG's vision for reinhabiting the restored mill site is a healthy balance between planful, innovative, sustainable development and restoring this potentially beautiful piece of property to a natural state that supports recreation, education, and return of flora and fauna once found on the bluff. Both endeavors support local jobs, a newly invigorated economy, and a healthy future for the residents of our community.
Our initiative to daylight Alder and Maple Creeks, now buried beneath the asphalt of the old mill operation will result in a view corridor to the Pacific. The project will provide a natural connection between Fort Bragg and the Noyo Center for foot and bike traffic. It will provide an outdoor classroom for school children.
